The last Hallucinogenic Honey Hunters of Nepal

Once a year the honey hunter tribe of Nepal take upon themselves a dangerous journey to harvest the hallucinogenic honey.

It takes them several hours to reach the cliffs where the bees build their hives. Without any further protection they will use bamboo ladders to climb down, hanging hundreds of meters above the ground.

Considering the danger this tradition implements, it is on the way to disappear. Not a lot of people are able to practice the technique nowadays. This is the reason I felt the urge to document the harvest.
