The last Hand-crafters in Transylvania

Weaving with hay, willow branches, reed, and working with clay are traditional handcraft techniques of the older generation of the Hungarians, living in Transylvania. They use it to produce daily objects, like hats, bags, pots, jewelleries.

The interest behind the project was to document a sustainable way of producing everyday objects, besides that it is important to preserve the tradition for the future generations.

Following their lifestyle for a while, it was clear that the younger generations are not practicing this anymore. Therefore this documentary series is a testimony of the past era.
